Towns and markets
Surrounded by its own ten-acre working vineyard, the Mas is nestled in a cozy hollow just outside the famous Roman battlefield towns of Trets and Pourrières. The small, charming village of Pourrières is within walking distance with a little supermarket and local bakers offering fresh pastries and bread every morning.
There are different colourful markets around; the nearest is on Wednesdays in the town of St. Maximin La St. Baume, also known for its magnificent cathedral with the crypt and relics of Marie Magdalene.
Lourmarin, Apt and Gordes in the Luberon hillside have a weekly market each with local vegetables, honey and other food as well as clothes and handicraft. Riez in the North East is only an hour away with a lovely market as well; it is also close to Moustiers Ste. Marie famous for its faïence and pottery and the beginning of the famous and spectacular Verdon canyon.
Biking and hiking
The Mas offers many out door activities in its direct vicinity such as hiking around for hours or climbing Mount Ste. Victoire or cycling and horse riding.
